The Jays need a second baseman. That’s a fact. I mean, platooning people like Munenori Kawasaki and Steve Tolleson is NOT going to win you a championship. So, a guy who may be undervalued, very young, VERY good, and a second baseman would be a perfect pick up. And a guy who might be just […]

One day, in the vasy and dreary land of a couple of weeks ago, while Sergio Santos was crapping himself on the mound, I said that something would happen. Soon. Something would happen to Mr. Santos. Something terrible. Something that could alter his career and the Jays’ bullpen for the better. And that something happened..

First things first, I want everybody to relax. We shouldn’t be panicking about the Blue Jays. Not yet, anyways. Also, you really shouldn’t get too excited about this series win. Mainly because after the next series against Boston (4th Place, AL East).

The Blue Jays need some wins. 3.5 games behind Baltimore with a 2nd place tie alongside New York, the Jays have to pick up the pace in order to get back to their May form. Facing off against Yu Darvish to start a series isn’t that great, especially considering the Jays lost...

Looking Ahead: The Blue Jays in the Second Half

The Blue Jays had a terrible end to the first half of the season. The June/July swoon was the result of injuries with a team lacking energy, and, honestly, talent. Within an instant the team started to look like Triple-A, something we dealt with last year as well, with people like Darin Mastroianni, Dan Johnson, and Munenori Kawasaki being called up.

Today I’d like to talk about a guy who has a very bright future ahead of him. Much like Marcus Stroman, this man is a up-and-comer in the system, but he has not made it to the big leagues yet. I’m talking about a pitcher by the name of Aaron Sanchez.

As I said in my last article, the Jays need a series win in L.A. going into a Tampa Bay series (Ugh.) and finally the All-Star break. They need that kind of momentum. Something that gives them hope and motivation to soar back into first.

Jays Need a Series Win in Los Angeles

Yes, it’s true. Don’t deny it. The Jays are falling. Freefalling. They need to soar out of Anaheim with a positive attitude. Of course, losing the first of the series won’t help, but winning the next two will.
