In 2014, the Rogers Centre has not been kind to Blue Jays pitcher Drew Hutchison. In 7 games started at the Dome, Hutchison has gone 2-4 with a 6.75 ERA, compared to being 4-2 with a 2.23 ERA on the road.

29-year old pitcher Ricky Romero has had surgery on his left knee that will see him miss up to 6 months of action. The surgery was to clean out quadriceps tendon inflammation. Romero is signed until the end of 2015 with an annual salary of $7.5 million. He also has a $13.1 million club option for 2016. Romero is 0-3 with a 5.50 ERA in nine-starts this year in triple-A Buffalo

The Jays, led by catcher Dioner Navaro, handed Orioles starter Chris Tilman his 5th loss of the season. The Orioles pitcher tossed 7 innings, giving up just 3 earned runs, and 8 hits. His counterpart, J.A. Happ, went 6 innings giving up just one earned run and 7 hits. The win, his 6th of the season, puts Happ at 6-3 for the season and lowers his ERA to 4.05.
