GIF: Troy Tulowitzki Returns to Colorado and Salutes the Rockies Fans

Here’s proof you can always come back home. Troy Tulowitzki made his homecoming to Colorado on Monday evening, and although Tulo’s departure from the Mile High City may have been tumultuous, his return was anything but.

The Colorado Rockies fans welcomed Tulo back with open arms, and he obliged by saluting the Denver faithful within Coors Field.

Kudos to Nick Hundley of the Rockies for making a brief visit to the mound to allow Troy Tulowitzki to get his moment in the spotlight. Not only did Tulo tip his cap to the fans, he acknowledged the gesture from his former teammate.

As we’ve seen in Toronto, reunions aren’t always this amicable, but it was cool to see the folks in Colorado give Tulo a warm welcome. File this one under “incredibly cool baseball moments of 2016”.
