Blue Jays, Indians show off Canada Day Classic jerseys

Blue Jays skipper John Gibbons talks about wearing the special red uniforms for Canada Day tradition, even though red isn’t a slimming colour.

Canada Day is about a lot of things.

Obviously the confederation of our country, barbecues, good beer, fireworks, oh and glorious afternoon Toronto Blue Jays baseball.

Playing the Cleveland Indians this year for their annual Canada Day Classic, the Blue Jays showed off the red and white digs they’ll be decked out in shortly before the game.

The Blue Jays have won their last three Canada Day contests and are hoping to keep that streak going on Friday. Should they win, they’ll snap Cleveland’s league-best 13-game win streak.
