Blue Jays win in mad scramble on walk-off wild pitch

A walk-off hit is among the most exciting plays in baseball. A walk-off wild pitch might be even better. That's exactly what the Blue Jays did on Tuesday.

Game-ending plays at the plate are awesome, but there is something about this and the set up that make it so much fun. There was no crack of the bat to send the crowd into a frenzy. Instead, it was just great base running by Devon Travis. The batter, Edwin Encarnacion, initially signaled for Travis to hold. But Travis read the play perfectly and saw how far the ball got away. It was still a close play and any hesitation would have led to an out.

A complete scramble to end a game is the best, even if it doesn't involve a hit.
