The Blue Jays tried to bribe a teammate to eat 8 pounds of mac and cheese, but $15k wasn't enough

How much lobster macaroni and cheese would you attempt eat for $15,000? Ten pounds, 20 pounds, 30 pounds? We don't know Chris Colabello's answer to that question, but we do know it's less than eight pounds.

Colabello was out to dinner with some of his Blue Jays teammates when Jose Bautista and some other teammates offered him $15,000 if he could polish off an eight-pound massive plate of lobster mac and cheese.

For many, this would be an easy decision. Macaroni and cheese is delicious and $15,000 is seemingly enough of a prize to obliterate your digestive system for a couple of days. But Colabello did not think so. It wasn't an easy decision, however, as according to Bautista's detailed updates, it took him about 40 minutes to officially turn down the challenge.

Updates:

8:34 he is still struggling with it
8:45 im losing hope over here
8:53 not looking good...
8:56 @kpillar11 shows up and is upset that #CoachBelo is taking so long to decide
8:59 officially has waved the white flag, not even an attempt...disappointing...

This brings up two important questions. 1. How much lobster mac n' cheese would Colabello eat for $15,000. And 2. what happened to that delicious eight pounds. After sitting for 40 minutes, did his teammates dig in? Did someone else step up and take on the challenge?

We may never know.
