AL East Notes: Yankees slump, Jays lack of pitching

The latest news from around the American League West.

C.C. Sabathia voiced the opinion of his fellow teammates when he said, "It's tough for all of us" about the Yankees current slump. They entered last night's game against the Rangers ranked 27th in the majors in runs scored.

Sabathia fell to 1-2 after last night's start, and many of the bats are slumping as well. Chase Headley has two hits in his last 24 at-bats; Alex Rodriguez entered the game in a 2-for-20 skid. Despite the bad times, the team believes that they will break out of it soon.
