Around the Nest Blue Jays Minor League Podcast - Week 12: All Aboard!

A sure sign that we have really entered summer is the end of the MLB draft and the start of the short-season minor leagues. The short-season A Northwest League Vancouver Canadians started their season last Friday and are now tied for first (albeit with all the other teams in their division) at 4-3. The rookie Appalachian League Bluefield Blue Jays (and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.) debuted last night but the game was suspended due to rain. Meanwhile the rookie Gulf Coast League Blue Jays starts up at noon today down in Dunedin.

Tune in to Around The Nest at 4 pm Eastern!

Here is the description from host Jesse Goldberg-Strassler:

The Bluefield Blue Jays have started up play in 2016 -- in a matter of speaking, since their Opening Night was suspended partway through -- which brings Voice of Blue Jays Bailey Angle into the show. What's the lay of the land in the 2016 Appalachian League? Plus: Jake Anderson is off to a hot start in Vancouver, which has seen the pro debuts of J.B. Woodman and Cavan Biggio among others; five Lansing Lugnuts take part in a wild Midwest League All-Star Game and Ryan Borucki is figuring things out; Dunedin is visited by more rehabbing Major Leaguers, but it's the top prospects who continue to grab the headlines; Dwight Smith, Jr.'s streak comes to an end in New Hampshire, so he promptly starts up a new streak the next day; and what's gotten in to Junior Lake in Buffalo? Join the radio broadcasters of the Blue Jays' system for all of the latest information up the ladder!

As always, the radio voices of the Blue Jays minor league teams are looking forward to answering your question about their team! Simply ask them in the comments below before 4 pm.
