Thumb injury caps eventful day for Donaldson

Josh Donaldson is considered day to day after he was removed during the sixth inning of Wednesday's 7-4 victory over the Yankees because of a jammed right thumb. Donaldson's departure was unrelated to a verbal altercation that he appeared to have with manager John Gibbons earlier in the game.
