Lugs lose despite Diaz's dandy debut

Denis Diaz tossed 5 2/3 innings of one-hit, one-run relief, but the Lansing Lugnuts (7-7) were shut out by the Bowling Green Hot Rods (7-6), 6-0, in the opener of a four-game series on Thursday night at Cooley Law School Stadium.
