Sloppy eighth pushes Loons past Lugs

LANSING, Mich. - Brandon Montgomery's two-run single was the only hit in a pivotal three-error, four-run eighth inning that gave the Great Lakes Loons (16-19, 52-52) a 6-2 victory over the Lansing Lugnuts (13-22, 50-51) on Saturday night at Cooley Law School Stadium.
