Former Jays slugger Jose Bautista has species of beetle named after him

Canadian Museum of Nature entomologist Dr. Bob Anderson, an avid sports fan, discovered the species in Bautista’s home country of the Dominican Republic and was inspired to commemorate the legendary bat flip in his own, unique way.
