McGowan's rotation spot may be on line in Kansas City

Blue Jays right-hander Dustin McGowan could be pitching for his job when he takes the mound Tuesday night in Kansas City. Left-hander Jason Vargas, who will get the call for the Royals, has gone at least seven innings in all but one of his five starts.
