The Comeback: June 4, 1989

Sunday, June 4, 1989 was the sixth game of a six-game road trip (Cleveland and Boston). If the date sort of sounds familiar, the next night, the Jays would play their first ever game at their new home, SkyDome. Toronto had just won two of three from Boston, and they were looking for the series sweep. It was Cito Gaston’s 18th game as interim manager for Toronto.
