Hutchison steps up, Jays avoid sweep

After Drew Hutchison authored seven-plus innings of two-run ball in a win over Oakland Tuesday, manager John Gibbons lamented that he had become “the whipping boy” in these parts. Gibbons has repeatedly come to Hutchison’s defence during a trying season; he was repaid with one of those “big” starts he’d seen from Hutchison in the past.
